We will be following any and all national, state, local, and building guidance and may need to enforce masking policies.
OFF BOOK DATES:
Note: Once we block a scene or dance, we will run it as much as time and attendance allows at any rehearsal thereafter, even if it's not explicitly on the schedule.
Act 1: Act 2: Show:
Always bring your script, lyrics and a way to take notes. You are free to work from a digital script, but you are responsible for taking notes on scene & song changes, staging, and choreography.
The script, lyrics, music files and videos will be accessible on our Google Drive
In the words of Scar: Be prepared! Please review choreography, music, lyrics and lines BEFORE coming to rehearsal.
Dance shoes are not required unless otherwise stated but we ask that you at least bring a pair of shoes you can rehearse/dance in separate from those that you wear in from outside.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the rehearsal so we can begin right on time.
Please bring water! There is a water fountain and filtered water dispenser at the church, please bring a bottle or cup (we don’t have cups).
Respect your fellow cast mates and production crew at all times.
We are on a tight timeline, so we will do our best to use all rehearsal time to learn whatever we have on the schedule and also review and run previously blocked numbers.
We encourage creativity and ideas, Panto rarely turns out the exact way it starts and that what makes it so special - the more we all put in, the more we get out and the better it is for us and our audiences. So let's put on another great show!
All costs we incur happen well before any tickets are sold. Dues help cover expenses including all costume pieces, accessories & props necessary for their role. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, fun, and creative environment, so these funds cover insurance and rehearsal space and materials. With eventual ticket sales, these funds help us put on an interactive and entertaining performance.
Dues can be paid via check to The Fringe Theatre, cash, on our website via PayPal.

We are a non-profit theatre group working with the Needham community and surrounding areas. Our annual Panto performances are a great educational and entertainment experience for adults and kids of all ages. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive, supportive, and generally fun group! And while the group as a whole comes to make a figurative family, it's built on a a foundation of literal families. Parents and their children, siblings, and cousins work together on-, back-, and off- stage to help create an amazing Panto show for our audiences.
We’re dedicated to creating a stellar performance in a safe, accepting and encouraging environment and we have set expectations and guidelines to help us do just that.
There is a volunteer requirement for every adult cast member and parent to help with the show. You will only need to volunteer your time once and help with one area of the production. (Ex. help at one dress rehearsal or one performance.) Most of the projects will be closer to show time, including: Set Painting, Prop and costumes - creation and sourcing, Tech week setup. Dressing room coverage, Tickets and Box Office, Publicity and show promotion. Contact us at thefringetheatrepanto@gmail.com to see how you can Get Involved.

The Fringe Theatre will be following the mask advisory set by the Massachusetts Department of Health: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-mask-requirements#mask-requirements-in-certain-locations-
Effective July 1, 2022: The Department of Public Health advises that individuals should wear a mask or face covering when indoors (and not in your own home) if you have a weakened immune system, or if you are at increased risk for severe disease because of your age or an underlying medical condition, or if someone in your household has a weakened immune system, is at increased risk for severe disease.
Safety Measures
The Fringe Theatre carefully monitors CDC guidelines for COVID-19 on a regular basis. We will continue to update procedures and protocols and encourage you to visit our website for updated information prior to our performances.
Cast and Crew Members
Vaccination is required for all cast members ages 5 and up (who are eligible). Masks during rehearsals are optional for cast members but highly recommended. Our staff is vaccinated and will continue to wear masks during rehearsals. We encourage our vaccinated cast members do the same for the safety of all involved in the production.
During performances, vaccinated cast members will be unmasked while on stage but continue to wear a mask while back/off-stage. Cast members who are ineligible for vaccination at this time are highly encouraged to wear a mask on-stage and off-stage. During performances all staff and cast (when not performing on stage) must wear a mask in the performance hall when interacting with audiences.
Thank you for your patience and kindness as we navigate these stranger than usual times.
